Time sure flies when you have kids, and I never would have guessed how fast that actually went if we didn't have Zach. To look back at day 1, bringing him home, floods me with memories from all the learning and growing that went on through the starting days. With all the firsts that happened, it is hard to choose which should be included in this cast but I managed to single it down to a few! From then to now not only has Zach changed in so many ways, but I have as well...as a father.

This is so cool. I remember the night that I became a father I still remember many details from that time. Your photos and commentary are very touching. My daughter is grown now and I have two granddaughters. Reading between the lines, it sounds like you and your wife are having fun being parents, That is so great!
ReplyDeleteThe ”that dash of nasty” as you called it, is probably what Freud called “Id”. I have no doubt that Zach will grow out of it with you as his father. You have to keep this slideshow and comments to look back on as Zach grows up.

ReplyDeleteThis is very touching! It is great to see a proud parent. It is nice to look back on memories like those, the little moments that make the tough ones worth it. I helped raise my niece, and I wish we had something like this to look back on. I regret not taking more pictures, so keep it up! This is definitely something you can save for the rest of your life, and even share with your son as he gets older.

I'm pretty sure you have tons of photos outside this assignment. I really admire how you capture all these moments on photos, makes me want to make sure I do too when I have a child, because my mother doesn't have a ton of photos of me. Which I wish she did!
ReplyDeleteOh boy do we have loads and loads of pictures. We make his baby books too, which is just as hard as this to pick the right pictures out. Its great fun having so many. I bet you will have loads of pictures just like us so you can do this type of thing later in life!

My son was born in April of last year, and MAN OH MAN, what a change it is to have children. I too cannot wait to experience every moment with my child as he grows up, and anticipate all the changes he will go through. Both the good, and the bad. Thanks for your video.
