Hey there everyone! I always felt like advice from other parents can greatly assist in raising kids, so this is my effort for people to help each other. This is the place for you if you want to toss ideas back and forth and see how others do things with raising their children. I personally have a 2 year old that is off the walls bonkers! So I need all the fun help and tips that people can offer.
Lets have fun with this!
I will be the first to throw my toddler advice out on the table. My little man, Zach, started walking at 8months old which surprised my wife and I completely! So we had to quickly realize that baby proofing for this guy would be tough. We went through baby gates, baby corrals, and jumpers of which none could contain this kid! Now we have this handsome 2 year old that is ever so mischievous still! If anyone knows a good toddler proof door knob/handle, do let me know because he is the next Houdini!!!
I think your best bet is to do just what you are trying to do here - network with other parents who find themselves in the same boat. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope that I can find some advice because I am certainly not joking when I say my little man is a tornado!

ReplyDeleteThere's an old saying it takes a village to raise a child for a reason. What a great way to get the "village" involved. Good luck with your 2 year old, there's also another saying Terrible twos horrible threes, just a fair warning. Little boys seem to be into everything and full of energy. Enjoy it while it lasts because it does go by way too fast and believe it or not you will find yourself wishing for those crazy times.
ReplyDeleteMy grandson who is now 5 was that way, baby gates didn't work! He was climbing out of his crib at 7 months old. He would climb out the baby gate, we never found a way to "gate" him. We had to tie cords on the refrigerator otherwise he was in there too! The best thing that I can tell you is just teach him "NO" and timeout! They work if you use them.
ReplyDeletethanks VAL!!!! ahhhh hahaha. terrible twos is beginning, not so harsh yet. but still!
ReplyDeleteTrina: that is the same with Zach. He walked at 8months. Was a crazy boy since. He gets his own food from the fridge, not so organized though. He is just everywhere. I love it but sometimes (like during my attempts to do school on time) he is a bit bouncy! And my wife and I work opposite sched's so that we dont empty our banks into daycare. haha.
Lets build this village!
